🎂 POM-on-the-Wold Turns Three!

Our happy little store in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. Stow has always held a special place in my heart—having grown up just down the road, this village feels like home.  Spending one day a week in our little Stow shop is still one of my greatest joys.
The town has changed so much in recent years, but the Cotswold charm is stronger than ever.  We’re so proud to be part of it.

Our wonderful little POM family—including Claire, Nikki, and Kim—has made the past three years so special.  To celebrate our third birthday, we’ve shared some of our favourite places to eat, shop, and explore in and around Stow.

Nikki Recommend's

BURFORD GARDEN CO - A home for inspired living cultivating the outdoor and bringing joy inside. Independent and family owned since 1976.  With a wonderful cafe, food shop and beautiful homeware Burford Garden Co is not just a garden centre!  The toy shop is also well worth a visit too.  Burford Garden Co is a must if you are in the area.

THYME HOTEL - A historic cotswold estate, family owned, driven by the love of entertaining, nature, beauty and conservation.  One of the most beautiful settings for a special lunch in the garden.  Thyme also has a wonderful and very inspiring shop which is worth a little visit our, if you are staying for longer, try out one of their workshops. From cookery to floristry.

STOW TOWN COFFEE  - Stow Town Coffee is one of the smallest commercial coffee roasteries in the UK, located in the beautiful Cotswold town of Stow-on-the-Wold.  Pick up a bag or two of beans (bagged them up freshly as you wait, and will grind them to you exact brewing requirements) and grab a coffee at the bar while you wait.
BAKERY ON THE-WATER - Nestled right on the River Windrush in Bourton-on-the-Water, Bakery on the Water is the perfect spot for both locals and visitors to the area to enjoy the village known as 'The Venice of The Cotswolds'.

You will find freshly baked local produce available every day, a cosy café with a delightful riverside terrace, and the perfect spot to watch the daily hustle and bustle - so pop down to collect your daily bread or enjoy breakfast, morning coffee or lunch.

DAYLESFORD FARM - If you can avoid the crowds at the weekend Daylesford is a very special place from the wonderful fresh produce (straight from their farm) to the wonderful homeware and fantastic spa treatments.  It's no surprise Daylesford is one of the hot tickets on the Cotswold circuit.

THE OLD BUTCHERS - Their lobster & chips never disappoint!

DOMESTIC SCIENCE - The perfect place to pick up little gifts and beautiful cards.

RHUBARB BOUTIQUE - Beautiful kids clothing and where I pick up lots of Otto's special pieces.

THE DOUBLE RED DUKE - Has become a 'must-visit' for it's picture perfect setting.  The food is yummy and the interiors and beautiful.

THE NEW INN & WALK - If I have a free weekend this is always one of my favourite things to do!  Start the walk from Bibury Court and follow the river through the rolling Cotswold valleys.  Stop for lunch at The New Inn before finding your way back to Bibury.

So here's to the first three very happy years at Stow - and to many more to come. 💛
